How do you make your protein shakes?

As the title says, wondering how folks make them? I think mine would qualify more as protein drinks because all i ever do is add powder to milk or water and mix with a spoon. So maybe that is my problem....

HiYa

I make shakes with the following:

1 1/2 scoops protein
8 oz of water
1/2 - 1 cup of fruit
serving of fiber (benefiber)

I like stuff super sweet - so I throw in a packet of Truvia, too.

8 ounces almond milk or water into my shaker cup (which has a screen at the top to break up any clumps), add the powder and shake like crazy. With the Nectar brand I usually pour it in give it a light shake (it does not do well with a blender or crazy shaking) and then let it sit in the fridge for 15 to 13 mins, all the powdered desloves in that time and I give it another light shake and drink.

I used to use the blender etc and add ice, but it was tooo much work.

try mixing your protein powder with plain non Fage greek yogurt....u can mix the unflavored protein in with just about anything.... jus****ch the tempurature. no hotter than 130 degrees or it will get clumpy

I couldn't deal with protein mixed with milk so I mix vanilla powder with 4 or 5 ounces of water and then add 2 to 3 ounces of fruit juice and a tablespoon of SF syrup.  Stir with lots of ice...the colder the better.  I alternate between orange/vanilla and pineapple/coconut.

I have been making protein Smoothies in the Morning and they really help me get in my protein and water.

3 Frozen Strawberries
1/4-1/3 Banana
1 scoop Vanilla Protein Powder
1 cup- 1.5 cups Crystal light- Strawberry or Orange Strawberry
4-5 ice cubes

I use a blender to liquefy. It is SO YUMMY and really gives me that boost that I need in the morning.
Hope this helps!

Pull back tab.....pour over glass of ice.  Drink.

I have unfortunately not found a powder that agrees with me yet.....except for the unflavored Unjury.  I can deal with that in Crystal Light.

I'm gonna try some Syntrax Nectar....until then I am sticking with Premier Protein and Muscle Milk Light.
Sounds like what I do RTD. I have not found any I like either.

I use the Gold Standard Whey Protein in French Vanilla and mix it with Soy Milk in a shaker cup. Sometimes I add a packet of Starbucks Via Italian Roast Decaf. If I'm travelling, I just use the protein powder and the instant coffee - no soymilk. I also use the Unjury Chicken Protein Powder.

I don't like the Protein Powder mixed in the blender because it gets a froth that I don't like,

For about an 8oz serving I use Necture - lots of flavors or just vanilla
milk/water/almond milk  4 oz
Fage or Safeway Open Nature plain greek yogurt 2oz
a few berries I picked and froze last summer - blueberries, raspberries
and mix it with a stick blender right in my glass, strain if needed.

I love my stick blender. It came with a large plastic cup with a lid. I can make a double serving in the am and carry it with me in my cooler.

Another one that cannot stand the powdered ones. I have two that I tolerate (almost like)... Pure Protein (they come in 23 or 35 gram bottle/can). Muscle Milk Cafe Latte (they have a 100 calorie that works great for breakfast and has some caffeine for when I need a morning jolt). I tried mixing my own coffee protein thing and it was an epic disgusting fail.

My new favorite is a green smoothie. I blend up a bunch of kale, spinach, flaxseed meal and unsweetened organic soy milk in the blender and then freeze it in ice cube trays. For my shake, I thaw 3-4 cubes in the microwave, then add 1/2 cup unsweetened soy milk or almond milk, 1 scoop Body Fortress Vanilla Whey Isolate powder (30 g. protein), and 2 tsp. of white chocolate flavored sugar free pudding mix powder. I shake it up in my blender cup and enjoy! It is much more delicious than it sounds, I actually like this more than the many chocolate or fruit flavored shake recipes I've tried :)
