Any advice finding a post op suit to cover floppy skin but not look too matronly for a 30-something?  I'm headed to Jamaica next month and am getting so mad and depressed about being unable to find a suit.  It needs to cover and support a large and sagging bustline as well as hide the unsightly inner thighs.  Taming the loose upper belly roll skin would be a nice bonus too.  I need about a 14, XL, 38 or 40 DD or DDD.  HELP!

I have an appt at a swimwear boutique tomorrow that I am both excited and nervous about... in the meantime, tell me how you've covered all that skin ladies!  I lost/am losing all this weight and I want to feel confident and sexy at the beach and pool!

I went to Hawaii at 8 months out and I got a really cute tankini with a skirted bottom. It covered up the belly and upper thighs and I was comfortable walking around in it. I'm 33 and it felt like I was wearing a cute dress and not a maw maw bathing suit.

I have worn a suit with board shorts and felt really comfortable or a skirted suit.

I got swim capris from coolibar on Amazon, and paired them with a cute tankini top from target. Super cute and functional, I don't feel exposed at all. Plus the capris have adrawstring, so as I change sizes I can cinch up.

Board shorts. I'm on the hunt for some new ones myself. My legs are so skinny that I'm having a problem finding some that fit right, but are longer. I might try looking at guys shorts. There's probably more variety and less expensive than women's anyway. As long as I get something relatively plain, I don't think anyone would notice if they are guys shorts. I don't like the skirted coverups...my saggy skin doesn't stay covered.

Athleta.com!  They have all sorts of sizes and then its nice that folks will comment on how it fits and how their bodies are!

They have some really cute suits and I like that they have an array of bottoms that are shorts and skirts too.

Here is my pretee suit!

The shorts have bottoms sewn in, so you do not have to worry about the leg flipping up and your hiney showing.

Hooray for swimsuits that do not show off the bumflaps!

And I do not have to keep wondering if my bumflaps are hanging out, or tugging my bottoms outta my crack!  But they have different bottoms, shorts like above, or board shorts, or cute flirty skirty things too!

JC Penney online  (www.jcp.com) actually has some cute tankini styles - and there is a good selection out in their stores right now too, if you can wear regular sizes.

I just bought a really cute plum one with great bust support and a short skirt.  The material is actually rather substantial, which is nice for support and for help with loose skin.  It is this one (if you don't like the ruffle bottom, they have a different skirt option):

There are several choices with board shorts too.  I think I'm going to get one of them closer to my vacation in June since I'll be doing more active stuff then.

I like this style with the ruched "skirt" that can be gathered and tied up higher, or let down, depending on how you feel and what coverage you need.  This one was found on www.alwaysforme.com, but that might not be correct sizing for you anymore!  Anyways, this style is crazy flattering.  :-)

Have fun on vacay!

Try Just My Size. And try eBay. I have bought several suits from a seller, I think Swimking, new with tags and the hygienic liners, for $20-$25 each.

It was fun!  So much nicer than digging through all those racks of suits on your own and hauling them into the fitting room all tangled together, praying something fits, then having to hang them all back up and lug them out.  At my appt they brought everything to me and took out all the suits that didn't work.  They were middle to high end suits, but they didn't cost any more there than at Macy's, and I got all that personal attention.  Just a much nicer experience!  I got a Sunsets top to go with my skirt I picked up at Kohl's.  They came in bra sizes- yay!  I highly recommend it when you're in the market for a nice new suit!

50th and France area for you Twin Cities peeps.
