Post Date: 2/10/12 8:04 pm I've had knee troubles since high school & 4 surgeries. I'd been doing pretty well for the last 2 yrs, other than aching from arthritis & carrying around over 300#s. I got my left knee upset by wearing the wrong type of shoes about 3 wks ago & I think I have frayed a meniscus again. I was just babying it, taking ibuprofen, & icing it & it was almost back to 'fine' when today I did something stupid...chased a 6 yr old, literally, the fat-woman was running! I tweaked it again & it hurts bad, like bad enough I am crawling through my house in order to avoid putting weight on it because it pinches the meniscus.
I'm scheduled for my sleeve on 2/16 & I can't take any anti-inflamatory medicines to help get it happier with me. I don't want this to delay my surgery but I also know that I need to be able to get up & walk the same day & lots of walking afterwards to avoid blood clots. I'm scared to call the dr's office Monday, but maybe it'll be better by then. Anyone have any insight?
