Progress pics (NSFW, mild nudity)

I decided in August of 2010 I would take control of my obesity. I began dieting and saw my surgeon for the first time on the 27th of that month. I was sleeved in late October, putting me at roughly 29 pounds lost pre-op, the rest with my sleeve. I have about 50 pounds more to go! It's flying off with my rigorous exercise routine. Couldn't be more pleased. Blurred out the face because this also got posted in other not so user friendly forums.

wow, you're braver than me!
great to see the result in skin factir as sometimes clothes can hide those extra inches you have lost.
Good on you.
keep up the good work!

When I was deciding to get this surgery I really wanted to see what bodies looked like "for real". The skin, how it hangs, if certain spots reduced faster than others, etc. Clothes just don't accurately show everything you've done. I'm not embarassed in the slightest to show the world what I'm working on! Thanks for your support!
thats what I think also, glad to see all your inces and pounds lost.

Wow, you're doing great! :)
Thank you, everyone! I was motivated to get this procedure when I saw other people post progress pics many months ago. I hope this helps others.
You look awesome, brave one!!

So inspiring!! congratulations!!

Thanks for being brave enough to post your picture. Like everyone else, I too wonder about skin issues as I lose weight. I'm not doing as much exercise as I hope to do yet but I'm working on it and hope that helps.

You look wonderful! Congratulations on your weight loss and thank you for posting those pics. I don't think I'd have the guts to post a pic like that but it really does help to see the changes as the weight comes off in a way that a fully clothed pic cannot.

What I find interesting is how people carry weight differently. You must be quite a bit taller than I am because your pic at 288 lbs looks way smaller than I am at 223(ish). I look HUGE at this weight in comparison...which, I guess, is why it's so important to NOT compare one person to another, lol.

Anyway, WTG on the loss. You look wonderful!
Thank you! It is VERY interesting. I find myself observing other overweight people and trying to guess what they weigh! My friend, for instance, looked larger than me at 288 as well, but she only weighs 230-ish. I found it so hard to believe! I'm only 5'5. Most of my weight now is in my thighs and calves. Stubborn as hell!
Ah, see, I'm 4'11" and totally apple shaped. Not quite a round Macintosh with toothpick arms and legs--my upper arms are quite pudgy--but my legs aren't bad at all. From where they attach to my hips, I look pretty good. The rest of me looks like a lumpy marshmallow. But I'm changing all that! :)
LOL you should have an easy time shrinking that evenly, though! I was kind of all over the place as far as where my pounds were, which I think is why I'm so uneven. I don't know what it's like to have nice legs! Does it feel pretty good? LOL
Congrats to you and thank you for posting the skin pics- it's nice to see where people stand without clothes;) It doesn't appear like you have much lose skin- do you think perhaps the rigorous exercise routine helps with that??  Thanks and congrats again!

UGH!)  5Mo -12
My skin is pretty wrinkly up close, but not loose yet. I don't think I'm going to have the hanging apron some folks experience, but I'm sure there will be some stretch when all is said and done. I have age on my side, for one-- I'm 25. I also drink 100 ounces of fluid a day and weight lift.  I'm not sure what combination of those is factoring in to my luck so far, but I figured I would cover all my bases!
You look great! Thanks for posting these.
Well honestly, I opened the post for the nudity, LOL.   What an awesome job your doing, congratulations on your achievement this far!!!  Very brave to post that but very good to see how well some skin can come back.  Best to ya...
