How long in the hospital??? Average stay???

I know everyone's journey is different... Just curious as to how long you were in the hospital.  I know what the surgeon said but what is the real life data???

Thanks

I was in one night. My coworker had her surgery 1 hour after me, same surgeon, same hospital, everything and she stayed two nights. He typically does one night but said that if i wasn't comfortable going home, that I could stay another night.

VSG 12-7-11

 1 night.

I did go directly to ICU after surgery for 15 hours, bcos I did not wake up.

Didn't plan on that, but it was fine.

Wasn't scary... I just wonder how much that will cost, since I am a self-pay.

I stayed two nights and they kept me all that day the 3rd day I didn't get released till 9pm.  Honestly, I don't think I could have gone home the next day, not with my kids and everything at home.

My surgeon keeps people for 3 nites.  So I went in for surgery on Monday morning and went home on Thursday.  The longer stay was something I wanted, just in case a complication developed post-op.  (Not to say complications don't develop further out, but just sayin.)  Turns out I was kinda bored, but better that than an "interesting" post-op experience, haha!

Supposed to stay 2 nights. Stayed 3 because I couldn't pass gas. Nothing 2 suppositories and a male nurse with sausage links for fingers couldn't handle though.
