What do YOU want to be when you're skinny??
Nice picture.....which one is you?
I personally want to be a cop. I have worked in "quasi" law enforcement jobs (code enforcement, animal control, humane investigations, etc) my entire life. Those jobs could "over look" someone being obese as long as they did the rest of their job well.
However......police officer....not so much. I have to be able to pass a pretty serious fitness test before I can advance in the process.
Some of it I can do now.....however two things.
1. Get over a six foot concrete wall.
2. Run 1.5 miles in under 14 mins.
Those are going to take some serious training on my part. I'm getting there though!
There are many people at a "normal" weight that have issues with them.
Well, you keep at it, girl! I go between 134 and 138 and it really depends on EVERYTHING... like did I salt my food? Did I drink a diet pop (yes, I DO drink diet sodas) or did I forget to drink enough fluids? It all matters!! Anyway, I fixed my ticker at 135 and it's not moving again unless someone comes and moves it for me!
Absolutely they do! When I went to boot camp (for the Navy), I was 150lbs and 19 years old.
They told me to run a mile and a half. I was like, uh.... run? I was always a band nerd. I marched. I didn't run.
Long story short. It took me almost 17 minutes to "run" 1.5 miles first day of boot camp.
9 weeks later, I ran 1.5 miles in 12:30. Just a little inspiration at how quickly we can condition our bodies.
Did I mention I dropped 20lbs and was lean. I mean my thighs didn't touch when I stood at attention. *sigh*
You can do it!
