So I had a VSG on 06-01-2012 and was doing pretty well healing.  Starting 4 days ago I have been getting pain right around my belly button.  I actually feel like someone is tearing open my belly button.  I met with my doctor yesterday and he stated if it didn't go away by next week we would do a CT scan.  Has anyone else developed a hernia?  What symptoms did you experience?

Did he specifically say it was a hernia? Any tests? I'd wait for the CT before you start to panic and upset yourself. It'll be fine...and if it is a hernia then you caught it early before it could do some real damage and affect your surgery.
