Need a good heart rate monitor (bluetooth) for Android

So I posted a week or so ago about mapmywalk. It has a feature to monitor your heart rate through a device via bluetooth. I am a geek but have not delved into this side before. I looked up a few brands and read some reviews but would  like some opinions if anyone uses one. I read a post a day or so ago that I cannot find now that talked a little about this but did not give specifics.

Rob, I think you mentioned like a Pellor or something? I know you have love for Apple so not sure if this would work for the Android. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
