One Year!! 7/7/12

Hey everyone!

I don't post that often, but wanted to give y'all an update on my progress since my one-year "surgiversary" is this Saturday, July 7th. When I was researching this procedure I lived and died by everyone's before and after pictures so I wanted to include mine here too. (Plus, I'll admit I want to brag a little. I think I've earned the right, dammit. LOL)

As of this morning I have lost 110 pounds. I went to my one year follow-up today and my doctor is thrilled with my progress. I have lost 97% of my excess weight. Unreal!!!! For those of you thinking of having this done, DO IT!!!! I'm not going to lie and say every day is easy but it is SO much easier than life was before!!! I still have to pinch myself that this is really the way life is now! :)

Carmelita - my husband made the same comment last night when I posted the pictures! He said, "You looked so miserable in the befores." I said, "I WAS miserable." His comment was, "Seeing the 'after' smile makes me so happy that you've done this for yourself. I think I'll keep him. :)
