I hate to be the party pooper here, but I have seen VSG patients 2-3 years out eating about that much. I can't eat that, but I have been out to dinner a couple of times with people that could. Needless to say, they were far from goal. :(
Most of us can only eat 2-3 ounces of dense protein at six months out and maybe a few bites of veggies.
Seriously? That's scary! And here I thought I had a big dinner of 3 oz of skinless chicken breast with a little Sante Fe sauce and roasted pepper slice all wrapped in lettuce! couldnt fini**** either! LOL!
I'm 7 months out. I have a tight, but long sleeve (so I was told by my surgeon). I can do 3 oz protein and about a 1/4 cup of veggies on what I call an empty day. Usually I can do about 2.5 ounces of protein and the veggies. That's about it.
I could do 10 to 12 oz a day, but not in one meal.
