Stuck

My weight has been stuck for over a week almost 2.  I have had this before but never this long.  Doc said not to expect to loose much more.  I still have a big tummy.  I have plenty to loose there.  My arms and legs are very thin.  I am still doing protein in the morning cheese for snaks and protein and vegy with cottage cheese for meals.  I walk regular.  What else can I try?

If you want to lose more weight I recommend you start tracking/journaling/logging your food intake. I find it's what really works for me. If I don't track, I tend to want to eat a bit more and then a bit more. So ever since my pre op diet I have been recording my food intake for every meal on Livestrong.com. It's very easy to use, and I prefer it to MFP.

I also hold a not too popular belief that cheese and nuts are not weight loss foods. Both are high in fat and have pretty low protein bang for the calories.

My advice is, if you want to kick start your weight loss, go back to basics - 600 to 800 calories a day, count carbs, limit fat and exercise and get in 80 oz of water each day.

Great advice.  I will go to Livestrong today.  Thank you for taking the time to respond.  I do agree with the nuts.  It does seem like when I start eating them it shows.  Probably the same for cheese but I need somthing to get me through rough times.

Based on your post - just checked out the MyPlate on Livestrong.com. I do like it, too. But I was looking for a mobile app for Android, and it looks like there are issues with that. Do you use it as a
mobile app, and if so what phone/OS?

I don't use the mobile app. I use my lap top at home and my desk top or iPad at work. Can't tell you anything about the mobile app. Sorry!

No prob - just thought I'd ask. I really do like it better than mfp just using it this morning.

Thanks for info - you are one of the folks who has already helped me with all you share!
