Over the last yeah I have lost about 40 lbs (including my pre-op so far).  My problem? I have a massive closet! Some overweight people don't buy clothes cuz they hate their body and how they look.  Me, I'm the polar opposite.  I spent years scouring sales racks and intertnet sales to compile a cute wardrobe.  Part of me is sad to see ALL that $$ go down the drain.  I'm sure I will try to re-sale some stuff to recoup my loss but still...these are clothes that have come with me on vacations, gone to parties, danced on dance floors with my friends and emphasized the good parts of my body that I truly love! Hey hey!! I think my biggest heartbreak will come if my feet shrink too much! Designer shoes have been my passion since I was 6! I have close to 40 pairs.  I'm sure some of you can relate, everything about me was big but my feet have always been super tiny and cute! I can carry off a pair of 5" stillettos like a boss! HOw many of you had significant foot shrinkage? And does OH have like an online clothing exchange?  LOL....

You may find that a support group in your area may have a clothing exchange. I know ours does here.

I won't lie I still haven't got rid of my clothes,I want to but I took such great care of my clothes (none have ever been in the dryer and always kept spotless) I fell like the people who get them won't value them as much as me so I haven't donated them, I keep saying I will take them to the plus size consignment shop or goodwill but haven't yet.I have 4 clothes baskets overfilled with them and have only given away maybe 4 items I don't really think my feet have gotten smaller just not as fat (had problems zipping shoes because of foot girth now they zip easy)

I can't part with my clothing either. But not because I have such great memories in them. I am still seeing the fat girl. I still think oh I can still fit in that and mean while they are falling off of me. I hope my brain catches up soon.

Welcome to my world... I have invested a FORTUNE in great designer clothes & shoes... I wear very expensive high heels that cost hundreds of dollars a pair....not to mention my suits, dresses, etc.... majority in a size 20... To put it in perspective, I have 2 walk in closets full of clothes & shoes... I wore a size 9 shoes and have grown to a 9.5 in one foot and a solid 10 in the other foot... so most of my shoes are a size 10...my feet were not too fat so I could get away with a medium ( C) width but this summer Ive had a low of swelling...
though I cant wait to lose weight, Im less than thrilled to have to part with my wardrobe, especially my shoes...

Im a shop-a-holic so the clothes part isnt as much of an issue...the clothes I have with tags still on ( and there is a LOT ) will go on ebay....but to part with my shoes?? ughhh I have no less than 200 pairs.... if I need to buy all new shoes, I will be in trouble

My feet went from a 9 wide to a 8 and some 7.5. I did not think my feet got fat but putting less weight on them made them smaller.

I got rid of all my big girl clothes as soon as I had my surgery date!
Shopping now is sooooooooo much fun!

You have to get rid of the old to make room for the new items! Bless someone else-like a women's shelter or dress for success!

 I had a friend that worked at Goodwill that said nice plus size clothes were in the few because they get so much wear from our larger bodies. If you decide to sell or donate I am sure your stuff will be a hot commodity. :)

I have to sell mine too. I thought of doing a consignment shop so I can get store credit and just purchase things smaller but I think I'll get more out of it if I craigslist or ebay them and then just go to my fav thrift store to purchase more. That's my plan but here the 9 bags sit in the corner of my room! lol Eventually!

I was able to pass my clothes down to my sister and then Ill be passing some to my mom and then when I get smaller than her (almost there!) It will be goodwill. No need to hold onto them.

i have nice lane bryant and other brand clothing in sizes 22-28! trying to figure out ways yo sell and recoup some money lol  perhaps i should set up ebay sale or something
