I was 5 months out yesterday and oh have my everyday life has changed! I have lost a total of 52 pounds, 249 to 197. I feel ALIVE again with a new found energy that just won't stop. I am a teacher and this summer has been unlike any other since the last few years. I have kept my kids home with almost everyday and gone and done things with them. We go swimming, to the park, to the movies, or just relax at home. For the last couple of years I would take them to the sitter cause I always felt tired and needed rest. I have enjoyed my babies so much and that is one of the major reasons for this surgery. My older son was on vacation with his dad for 2 weeks, and when he came home he said "Wow mommy, your skinny" LOL......that was just icing on the cake. He always puts his arms around me to see how much further his hands can touch around me.
I have had so much fun shopping for clothes. (have had some "I'm still huge moments as well") I am thinner now than I have ever been while being with my husband. Lets just say that everyday when I get up and get dressed I have to redress again latter

My hubby weighs 188, and I can't wait to weigh less then him, another first. overall I have had a better attitude and outlook on life. I feel comfortable in my own skin and proud of myself for ALL my accomplishments, not just my weight loss. For example, my degree, my home, my friends, my job, and most importantly my family. TMI......One thing that has changed, is......it's not so darn hard to wipe if you know what I mean.....I know that is funny, but its the truth.

This is the best thing I have ever done for MEI was about a 22 when I had surgery and now ina 16
