Waiting for approval
This is the first time I have posted on here but reading all of your posts has been so inspirational. I'm a single mother with an amazing son and so desperately want to be healthy and more active so I can be here for him. I have idiopathic intracranial hypertension, which is just fancy words for too much pressure/fluid in my head. A large amount of weight loss often sets this condition into remission. That is a couple reasons I have been trying to get approval for my sleeve. Unfortunately I was denied in February due to "insufficient pulmonary clearance". Apparently my family doctor's signature on the pulmonary clearance wasn't enough. I needed to see a pulmonary specialist. This resulted in more tests and a sleep study. After the doctor signed the clearance I was then told my insurance needed to review the results them self. So that is where I'm at now. They have 13 more days before they have to reach a decision on the appeal. I know none of you know me, but if you could say a little prayer for good news to be delivered I would sincerely appreciate it.
Welcome to the forum. I hope your clearance comes thru soon, and that you have every success with your weight loss and health.
best wishes,
Carol
