Okay All...how much protein can we really absorb and can count towards protein goals, in 1...

For example, If I drink a shake that has 2 scoops Isopure zero carbs = 50 gr protein, will I absorb all 50 gr? I know their are mixed reviews on this one.

The answer is that there is no answer.  Some people, docs included, think there's a limit of around 30g in one sitting, but there's no science that I've found to back that up.  Of course, I haven't gone looking recently either!

FWIW my Dr told me there is no amount that we can't absorb..

It seems to be complicated.  I have read two studies that are referenced on this subject that point to people being able to process quite a bit of protein at one sitting.  On the other hand, there are relevant divergent opinions.  There is also quite a bit of disagreement about how much protein is needed in the first place.  My doctor would prefer that I take in about 30 grams before 10 AM, I don't seem to get even close to that lately, but that would be his preference for me.
