This time next week, I will be sleeved! (just a little venting...)
I'm a week away from the biggest, most important change I've ever made in my life! I am feeling every emotion there is! Today was tough. My pre-op diet is very flexible, in that I am allowed a few "extras". However, I was craving my trusty old friend, CARBS, today! I wanted a big plate of macaroni and cheese, or pasta with alfredo sauce... anything BUT a cup of veggies or vegetable soup! It could be that my nerves are starting to get the best of me. The old Tina would eat my nervousness away... I can't do that anymore. I'm looking forward to my new life! It seems like the days are dragging. April 30th isn't coming fast enough. Lol. If it wasn't for this site, a few family members & the best friends in the world, I would have lost my mind by now! Anyway, I'm just venting a little bit. I hope everyone has a wonderful night!
I think a week before surgery is one of the harder times. I remember wanting to cheat on my pre-op about that time. Hang in there. It won't be long and you'll be on your way. Its quite a journey. Just think of how it will be a year from now. I'll be one year post-op on May 1, and I'm already approaching my goal weight. Its so worth it.
Best wishes,
Carol

Thank you so much, Carol! It's been a long road for me. I went through a lot to finally get to this point! I see your posts, and you are definitely one who inspires me! I can't wait to share this experience with all of you on the loser's bench! Congratulations on your weight loss & enjoy your 1st surgiversary!

I'm exactly a week away, too, but my pre-op diet is much more strict. 5 Ensure per day plus occasional chicken broth. One week gone and one week to go - it's hard and time is slow so I hear what you're saying. I just miss having something hot. My stress is about the surgery itself, complications and recovery - the typical worries. This website has been my saving grace - helps me to know I"m not alone in my anxieties and this, too, shall pass. Good luck, Tina! We're almost there!
