Palpitations
Yes - I do get lightheaded after I stand up too fast, esp after exercise. Seems to have just started in the last 1-2 weeks. Also I notice my heart seems to pound or speed up and I get flushed right after I eat. I have had this before - it's my heart kind of slowing down when I don't have much fuel and then speeding up when I get some fuel.
If you have never experienced it before, however, it is probably the best to check it out with your doc.
It's funny because it seems like a lot of your posts show the same experiences as me and I am also a "Jennifer E"!

This is not a drill. Contact your surgeon. Palpitations are NOT something to fool around with.

Are you on any blood pressure medications?
You should definitely call your doctor and discuss the palpitations. These are not normal.

Like the others said, do get it checked out. I will add that my blood pressure went very low starting about 2 weeks after surgery and stayed there for a couple of weeks until my body adjusted. It caused me to be lightheaded and dizzy sometimes. The doc took me off of the diuretic I'd been taking for ankle swelling at that point.
It's probably nothing, but give your surgeon a call and/or make an appointment with your PCP. Better safe than sorry!
