Dumping after vsg
I don't think you are experiencing dumping syndrome. That is common with RNY patients from the intestines being re routed. However I could imagine and heard some foods that were good before don't agree with us after any WLS. They do say you don't dump with the sleeve because nothing has changed in the system, except a smaller stomach.
I'd love to see a citation for this. Only 30% of RNYers dump, but I've never seen any studies that show VSGers dump.

I did it the first time with a greasy pasta di****hought I was going to pass out. It was every classic symptom of dumping. Now it's grease or sugary. And it's not consistant. I have learned tho to take a bite and wait about 5 minutes to see if I get a hot flash. I rarely eat sugar but i had a glass of wine on 2 seperate evenings while I was on vacation and both times I had the hot flash then a few hours later the bathroom rush
Some people do get a dumping syndrome with VSG. Whether it is dumping in the same sense as with RNY I don't know. Some practices say there is no dumping with VSG, others say it is present but in a much smaller percentage of patients than with RNY. GwenMo I tried to find you a scholarly citation (as that is what I would want myself) but didn't have the patience to pubmed it. However, here is one pretty thorough non-academic site/reference:http://www.bariatric-surgery-source.com/dumping-syndrome.html
