7 months out and doing wonderfully....

I just reached my 7 month date and this surgery has changed my life in more ways than I can count but let me try:

1.  I can cross my legs (something that I think I last did in elementary school)
2.  Public restroom stalls do not feel as if I am in a small box waiting to get stuck any minute.

3.  Stadium seats do not seem as small (before I think I took up mine and half of my husband's seat)

4.  I JOGGED...I did say JOGGED a mile before I could not have jogged even if someone was chasing me with a knife

5.  I can buy in a store other than Lane Bryant or other specific plus size stores

6. I can get weighed at any doctor's office and the phrase "unable to weigh" is no longer part of my record!

7. I am no longer faced with the embarrassment of asking for the seatbelt extender on the airplane.

8. I have collarbones and ribs

9. I am no longer afraid of the camera

10. Blood pressure is normal!

I am sure there are so many other accomplishments that have occurred throughout the seven months since surgery but going from 369lbs on June 10, 2013 (date I first met with the doctor) to 230lbs today has been a life changing event.  I am still scared that I will not be able to maintain this once the weight loss slows and that is a fear I live with everyday but I think it is a good fear to have because it holds me accountable to what is being put in my mouth and why I am choosing to eat when I am still full.  I want to thank everyone who has posted on this forum because it was this forum that answered so many of my questions throughout this journey and made me feel as if I was not alone.  Thanks again!

Way to go!!! I will have a similar surgery weight so it's uplifting to see someone from a similar position lose so much in so little time!!!
