Slow Losing
I am 9 weeks out today and have lost about 30 lbs. I was a light weight to begin with weighing 196 at my consultation. I am 166 as of this morning and my goal is 135. Are there any other's out there that are on a "short program" as my dr. calls it and is losing slow. I am exercising and drinking my water and eating 400-700 calories a day. I am not getting down on myself, and I know slow and steady, as long as the scale is going down, but I wi**** was going down faster!! LOL.... Thanks for listening!!
Wow you're losing 3 pounds a week. That's AWESOME. In what world is that slow?!
How my liquid and protein are you getting every day?

Your liquid is a bit low - you probably should be aiming for 64 at a minimum and the more the better. I aim for 96 a day.
The protein also seems a bit low. My goal is 60-80, 40 in a day would make me reach for a protein shake before bed.
But again, 3 pounds a week is hardly slow weight loss!

I hear ya! I'm 9 weeks out tomorrow and have only lost 27 since surgey. If you include pre-op I've lost 38.
I guess I was almost a light weight, not
quite, I had 105 pounds to lose.
I eat about 800 cal a day and Exercize 4 times a week.
Slow and steady wins the race I guess, maybe we won't have as much loose skin!
Heres hoping!!
That's 4.5 pounds a week! That's amazing! When have you every lost 4.5 pounds a week for 8 weeks?

It just makes me so sad that so many people have these crazy unrealistic expectations of the speed of weight loss! We'll all get there eventually and 10 years from now it won't really matter if we did it in a year or in two or three.
