Post-op swelling

I had VSG on 8/25. Question - when does the tummy swelling go away?

Congrats on surgery!! I would say for me, it was at about 1 to 1 1/2 months out that it really went all the way down.

I agree with Amber.... your tummy takes about 3 months though to heal so with in that time it starts to go down.... Congratulations on your new sleeve :-)

I'm really glad you asked this question.  I'm 1 month out and I've still got soreness in my tummy from the swelling.  I thought that there was something wrong with me to still feel sore 4 weeks post op!

        

Age: 26, Height: 5'8" HW: 328, SW: 322, CW: 239

it will be so wonderful when the soreness and tenderness goes away. At least it's a built in alert to say "Whoa, wait a minute now.  Things are different inside here!". Good luck to my fellow newbies
