sore gums?

I'm 2 weeks out today.  My gums are really sore.  I know that anesthesia can be hard on your teeth but I wonder about vitamin deficiency too.  My doc says I don't need to start vitamins until I'm 2 months out but I'm wondering if i should start now.  Anyone else experience this?

I have heard that sometimes when your gums are sore it means your iron is low.

I find the vitamin advice of your doctor very interesting because every program around here INSISTS that you start at least a multi-vitamin immediately after surgery.

Exactly.  And he told my husband and I to go ahead and eat whatever we felt we could tolerate.  Which is weird.  We aren't going crazy with our eating even so.  I am eating shredded chicken and doing well with that though.
