One week till surgery, getting back on track
After my slip up over the weekend, the boiled egg debacle, I've decided to face this liquid diet head on with all of my might. I made green chile stew last night and it will be leftovers for 2 nights this week for the kids so I won't have to be in the kitchen cooking (Tue & Wed). Then, a free for all night where everyone makes their own dinner, whatever they choose to make, which is Thursday, and then my daughter will make dinner on Friday, and one night my husband will take the kids out for pizza on Saturday, then I'll make dinner Sunday and then we leave for El Paso Sunday night. DONE! I can get through this. Limiting my time in the kitchen cooking is key for me right now. My daughters both know how to make my shakes so they've volunteered to make some of them because as my youngest (15 year old) says: "You've been taking care of us for most of your life, now it's our turn to take care of you for a while" Awwww!
I'm so nervous, ONE WEEK FROM NOW I'LL BE IN SURGERY!!!!!
I am very blessed with a very supportive family. My teenagers are being really great throughout this journey and my husband....I can't even begin to tell you how amazing he's been. My recovery will be easy in part because of them :) Thanks for the kind words
Yep! You can do this. Friday - Sunday was rough but so far Monday and Tuesday I have been fine. I have surgery on Monday.
Woo! Having a plan is so important!
