carbs?
I know a lot of people say they don't eat carbs. I'm wondering if that means ZERO carbs or cery few? If a few folks could comment and let me know what your normal is, I would appreciate it. I'm 2 months post op and I eat very few..the milk I make my shake with has some, and I occasionally eat a little...like today at lunch I had grilled shrimp and 1 of my husband's fries.
It is almost impossible to go no carb, but I do go low carb. When you have a protein forward diet there isn't much room for carbs, it's not impossible though. I mostly just avoid high carb foods like chips & rice, etc or limit the amt of carbs I eat in one sitting., I try to keep it 10-20, but more often under 10.

Before surgery I was eating 55 g of carbs or less each day. I hope to do the same when I am cleared to eat regular foods again.
There are carbs in just about everything. I cut mine way down by not eating breads, pastas, rices, potatoes or anything like that.
I still got carbs in my ff sf greek yogurt, broccoli, summer squash, cauliflower, cheeses, etc.

Sugar and grain carbs = Extremely bad. Very bad. Bad bad bad.
High glycemic carbs (like most tropical fruit) = Probably very bad for us.
Low glycemic fruit carbs (berries) = Probably okay if moderated properly
Green veggie carbs = Way okay, eat all you like (also, you can pretend Cauliflower is green)
