Have you called your surgeon?

I have talked to the surgeon he said this happens to 15% of patients and there is no way to detect it. I had a nurse for 24 hours.but he is well aware of the problem and I'm on my own. He got his money I don't think he could give a dam about me. So sad. I'm very upset and in pain and scared I'm going to get dehydrated. I'm trying my best to drink it's just so hard and painful

Have you tried your water at different temps? Some say room temp or warmer seems to agree with them more this early out.

I have not tried sugar free Popsicles. That might be good. But still the same problem I can't swallow a lot.

Try different temps. Lots of people have better success with warm or hot liquids.

Welcome to what I referred to as the month from hell!  I couldn't swallow water for months, and it took years before i could drink water comfortably.  I found that adding something to the water, it didn't matter what made it easier to swallow.  But swallowing as a whole was difficult for me.  I remember reading people who were drinking 20 oz of fluid, or eating regular food at 2 weeks, and I wasn't able to do any of that for over a month.  I was miserable and afraid that I had really screwed myslef up.  Thankfully, it passed, although at 6-1/2 years, I still have great restriction. Some people have more tightness for whatever reason than others.  Be grateful because that tightness will keep you more mindful of your eating as the years pass by :)

Try drinking a shot glass of liquid every 15 minutes.  That's what my doctor recommended to me and it worked.
