Vitamin D Question

Do we have to take a specific Vitamin D supplement? I have been taking a Dry Vitamin D pill that I bought at the surgeon's office, but I took the last one today. I am wondering if I should go back to their store to buy another pack, or can I pick up some Vitamin D capsules at the drug store? Thanks for any insight.

Vitamin D is vitamin D, in my opinion if you get it from a reliable brand. I get mine at the pharmacy department of my local supermarket.

You want vitamin D3 and do not need a dry one.  (RNYers need dry fat soluble vitamins, we don't.)  I really like this one -- http://www.amazon.com/Nutrigold-Vitamin-Softgels-GMO-free-Pr eservative-free/dp/B004N8TTBQ/

(And my vitamin D has gotten from 16, which is super deficient, to 99, which is the top of the normal range, since March.  So yay for that!)
