Back to work

I will be 2 weeks post op on Wednesday and will be heading back to work.  I'm a visiting nurse and my job can be quite taxing.  In my 8 hour shift I see 6 patients in 3 towns. I'm not going to lie.  I'm a little worried.  I have a couple ideas to cut down on the time that I'm actually visiting patients, like I can do all my charting later if need rather than in the home.  How do you all do when you went back?

I did OK. I went back after 3 weeks. I do a lot of walking and work in 5 buildings. I lift computer equipment ocassionally, but I didn't lift anything the first week back. I was tired the first week back too. Take it easy on yourself.

I am heading back to work tomorrow. I am a desk jockey so I am only worried about the commute because I have a 90 minute commute that involves, driving, the train, and walking and I've got to bring my laptop and my food. I got one of those rolling laptop cases to help me deal with that.

I was a cheap date to anesthesia and was still very listless 2 weeks post op.  There's no way I could return to work.  What will you do if you have to lift a patient?  You're not supposed to lift anything more than 8 lbs for 8 weeks.

I don't lift pts in home care.  The patients are home and should either be able to physically care for themselves or have a caretaker.  If I was still working in the hospital or something it would be a different story.  My bag is heavy but I think I will just take in the bare Essentials.  Though it seems like many of you have come back after 3 weeks rather than 2.  Yikes I'm torn
