So I had a chicken salad for lunch and lesson learned salads don't sit well with my sleeve I feel sick I guess it's the lettuce.

How far post op are you? I am not allowed anything but mushy vegetables and only then if I get my protein in. The NUT said you can have a bite of mushy veggies (a bite!) but nothing fibrous or crunchy. I'm in pureed stage and I imagine later in the process we might be able to eat some fibrous vegetables.

I'm almost 18 months out and I still don't do lettuce.  First of all, because it takes up valuable room in the tummy that needs to be used for protein.  Second, it's a worthless and pointless food...seriously, most lettuce doesn't have enough nutritional value in it for you to be eating it.

I eat the protein and good veggies off of a "salad" and leave the lettuce to be dumped in the garbage where it belongs.

Lots of people can't do raw veggies for many months.  Stick with the proteins this early out. :)
