Considering surgery VSG in Mexico
there is a whole forum here about it
you need to do your research before going to Mexico there can be problems with finding a doctor to treat you at home after having surgery in Mexico , also there is very little support or after care
there are some very good surgeons there but also some very bad ones there government control of medical standards are not the same as the USA, and some of the better surgeons cost about the same as some of the surgeons in the USA
check in Los Vegas and new Jersey and Texas
Here's the Mexico forum, it can be hard to find! http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/mexico/

I went to Mexicali and had my surgery no problems. I have family there so I'm very familiar with the area and the medical tourism. I had surgery with Dr. Elías García http://www.obesitymakeover.com/. He was trained by Dr. Aceves (very popular with the VSG crowd) and Dr. García is an amazing person as well as an excellend DR. You can do your own research, people generally go to Tijuana or Mexicali, I opted out of Tijuana (even though it's cheaper) because of the fact that you have to maneuver yourself deep into the city (where let's face it is very scary). Mexicali on the other hand offers all your medical needs on the border, literally about 100 feet from it, you even get cell signal from the hospital and in an any case that you feel uncomfortable you can hope back in any time.
Good luck with your decision!
Dr Lopez. He spoke perfect English, the hospital had WiFi, i was only about 2 miles from the bborder i was also able to send texts from my phone and i had a crappy prepaid cell at the time. Do your research, and make your decision based on your needs and what you find. I was fortunate that i didn't have any complications. But then again, you can have those in America, too. Just search the forums for complications.
