Got Approval

Hey guys. Hope ya all doing great :) I got approved for VSG. My surgeon has put me on high protein diet for two weeks. I wonder why not the liquid diet/optiFast people talk about on forums. I asked him again and again but he said low carb or better no carb and high protein diet for two weeks. I am excited but hell afraid at the same time. Today is the first day of high protein no carb diet. Having a little headache probably due to lack of carbs.. Need a lot of luck. :( hope everything goes well.

Congratulations!  I look forward to following your journey.  I can't wait to be in your shoes (although my pre-op is OptiFast and for 4 weeks nonetheless - ick).  You can do it!

Congratulations on your approval! I'm on the high protein diet too. Today is day 3! It's hard. I'm down about 5 lbs. Surgery on the 18th. Getting scared. Reading and reading posts on this board looking for reassurance. Not scared of the surgery itself anymore but scared of lfe afterward. Will it seem normal?

O M G November 18. I am so glad there is some one I can very well relate to :) Good luck buddy, I hope we will kill the monster of obesity soon. I know we are struggling for now and its gonna be a great struggle for quite sometime after wards as well but lets just think about the healthy life ahead. Once we will be used to our lifestyle post op, things will become normal. I am thinking of myself as an ill person for now who cannot eat all these fattening things and the thought is working quite well :) I want to see myself on the healthier side, so will do anything for it :) Hey obesity monster, you can't beat us! :D
