So I need to confess because i feel like I'm screwing up! I have been trying to stick to my plan to the T but it's been difficult because my boyfriend and I are getting ready to move and so we have put off grocery shopping until we get moved in. So this has force me to eat out and Ive tried to make good choices I've had chipotle with no rice, I've had lettuce wraps instead of having bread, and I feel like the scale isn't going anywhere because of this. I've declared that once we got moved in we would both eat better and not eat out no matter how late it was. Am I sabotaging my weight loss. I've started working out in hopes this will help.

The only way you're going to know for sure if you're sticking to your plan is if you're logging all of this into an app like My Fitness Pal.  My hubby and I eat out a LOT...but I always make sure to look up the foods and put them in.   Then I can clearly see if I am hitting protein/carb/calorie goals for the day.

It's not eating out that's a problem....it's the poor choices we make when we eat at restaurants.  But it's still possible to make good choices, stick to the plan and lose weight.  I'm proof of that!

What Tracy said.

The food choices in and of themselves don't sound too bad (Chipotle bowls without rice and beans are a low-carb go-to for me and lettuce wraps are generally good ideas too) but you don't really know till you are tracking. Consider grab and go's like hard boiled eggs and cheese too. You can toss that stuff in a cooler and get it moved quickly.

Stress always had a funny way of stopping the scale for me, too, as another thought. It sounds like you have the approach figured out once you get settled.

Logging is a great tool and so is planning ahead. Other posters sometimes run potential menus by the board to see how sleeve-friendly they are. Don't be hard on yourself. One step at a time.

Make sure you're drinking lots to counteract all the sodium that restaurant meals tend to have.  And you might want to make sure you're still weighing or measuring, since it's entirely too easy to overeat when out otherwise.

This about the sodium!  There is so much hidden salt in prepared foods and they always cause me to blow up. If I'm out to eat,  I always make sure I drink my full glass of water beforehand.

How much is too much sodium for a day?
