I don't qualify for WLS
Today I reached a milestone! I no longer qualify for WLS because my BMI is 34.9 and my insurance requires it to be 35! It's awesome to have reached a point where I would no longer need surgical intervention to lose weight. It makes me feel empowered and strong. I think to myself "well, my insurance company says that people can lose weight on their own if they're less than 35, so there's no reason at all why I can't reach my goal because I've got this amazing tool in addition to being under 35!"
I could pick this apart and show myself how my thinking is flawed, but I'd rather believe it. :D It's a happy morning.

Thanks! Not being morbidly obese (or super morbidly obese) is pretty awesome. Today I went to a new orthopedist, one who has never met me before, and he didn't say anything about my weight. I've NEVER had an orthopedist not comment about my weight. Is this what life is like for normal people?! I love it.
