Hi all,

I am excited to report that after enduring the three week stall, the scale has started to move downward for me. Also, the pants I am wearing today are a size smaller and are fitting a lot better. I must admit to squeezing into them preop because they are a bit adjustable but the are fitting quite comfortable today!

YAY!!!  Me too!!!  Stalled for 2 1/2 weeks and dropped 4 pounds over the weekend.  Thank GOD!!!  Wish I could say I shrunk while waiting but clothes fit exactly the same.  Hopefully since I am losing again, I will start shrinking!

Great! Me too. Scale didnt move for three weeks then down 5lbs. Such a sigh of relief.  Every time I hit a stall I fear the weight loss is over!!! Awesome your clothes are fitting better. Keep up the good work.

Great news!  Hopefully you'll be better prepared for the next stall :)

It was pretty amazing that the 3 week stall came pretty much when it was expected. I wonder of there are other stalls so predictable or does the earliness and surprize of this stall make it stick out in our minds?

I think that it's probably the latter.  I also think that 3 weeks is when a lot of us transition our diets from liquids to not liquids, and that this might have something to do with the stall as well.  I think that, after that, we all just stall whenever our bodies feel like stalling ;)

I'm at the 8 month mark and have been bouncing around 202 for the last week.  I know it'll pass and I'll see 201 before too much time passes, but that doesn't mean it's not annoying, eh?

I think the first one is the worst.  Right after surgery you feel like the pounds should be dropping off daily, then BOOM, the horrible stall sets in.  My weight loss tends to stair step.  I recently went three weeks losing/gaining a couple of pounds, then last week I dropped four.  The important thing is to not let it get you down.  Stalls will happen, but they will also break if you stick to your plan.

my stall is not over=yikes, scary ! surgery was four weeks ago today and only down 21 lbs...wi**** was more.  I am going to try going back on shakes  maybe that will help- having trouble keeping certina foods down, eggs, veal...I think I eat too quickly..any tips are greatly appreciated!

Going back on shakes is only really useful if your stomach isn't handling denser foods well.  At four weeks out, you might want to give softer foods a go, like fish.  (Lots of people have issues with eggs, so they're not necessarily a good gauge of tolerance!)

Chew a lot, put your fork down between each bite, cut food into small pieces.  Don't eat while distracted - try to eat at a table with no TV, gadgets, or books to distract you so that you can eat mindfully and really pay attention to your habits.
