Sleeved Friday, finally home!
My surgery went well, and I was up and around ok by evening. I felt the same hunger as on the pre-op liquid diet. It was way more annoying in the hospital because they seemed poorly set up for this. My liquid tray included ice cream, juices and full sugar jello! I called the nutritionist and they started sending packets of protein powder with my broth. It had 8g of protein and 15g of carbs. Oi.
I was in longer than expected because I had a lot of bloody drainage. They finally went back in Tuesday night to do an investigational lap, found two small bleeders and fixed them. They weren't enough to account for the amount of blood, but it slowed down and stopped be as red immediately and I FINALLY GOT TO COME HOME. I am tired but feeling good. The people around me seem quite anxious about the second surgery, like this was a disaster. I think it was a bump, but no more.
Now I am happily home in my own bed, and after crashing for 4 hours I am wide awake. I guess I am still expecting to be woken up around the clock!

these little bleeds are not that uncommon , and you where in the hospital where they where watching you for problems and able to treat you as needed
