I've noticed, I'm really bad on my liquids.

I'm trying so hard for this whole process to work. I'm not doing too bad of a job, 25 pounds in a little less than a month seems like a good start, but I think I expected a little more( maybe I'm wrong). In all of my paperwork and guidelines my nutritionist gave me, I feel like their falling short on basics. How many ounces of water or liquids(crystal light, G2 Gatorade) should I be getting in a day? Protein I'm shooting for like 50-60grams a day right now, but still proves to be difficult. I try to get all my protein out of my shakes( gnc lean shake or Isopure), and just started to incorporate in some foods, soups, hard boiled egg, low fat cheddar cheese stick. Any tips you guys?

How much water a day?

Any slick tips to incorporate more protein in my diet.....

My NUT says 60-80 gms of protein and at least 64 oz of water.  I try and get half and half...half from food and half from liquid proteins.  I usually do 1 Premier Protein and then some Pro-Stat....between those 2 there's 45 gms of protein!  I also try to make sure that there's some straigh****er in there...makes me feel like I'm being healthy!!  Best of luck!

I try and get all my protein in with food. I don't love shakes!! I eat a lot of cottage cheese, greek yogurt, lentils & beans, fish, shrimp, lean pork. If I'm short of my 70 grams I will drink premier protein as a snack. 4 out of 7 days I can reach these goals with out shakes. In regard to water my goal is 64 ounces, but I usally go over during the week. I find it easy to get my water in at work, I have a harder time on the weekends. I have a 16 oz cup and I drink one cup full on the way into work, one in the morning before lunch, one after lunch and one on my way home so there is my 64 ounces. On the weekends I'm so busy and I don't have a set schedule that sometimes I forget to drink. I need to be more dilligent then!

We're still early on and I know its hard to be figure it all out. I know I do best when I'm super structured. I also invested in a fitbit. I love it for tracking food and water!

BTW, you're doing great with your weight loss!

That early out I had to get my protein from shakes.  I would do Premier (30 grams) and add 8oz of Almond Milk and add 2 scoops of Isopure (50 grams).  That's 80 grams right there.  I drank half in the morning and half in the afternoon.

I'm one of those that don't get a lot of liquids in so in order to stay hydrated I drink 1 Powerade Zero every day along with my water.  That has helped me & I have had no problems with dehydration.

Congrats on your weight loss so far!!

My goals are a minimum of 64 ounces liquids, and I try for closer to 96.  Protein, I'm aiming for a minimum of 60, 80 is better.
