Trip to the ER 6 weeks post op
Hi everyone.
Yesterday morning I woke up with some upper belly pain similar to the pain you feel after the surgery. As the day went on it got much worse and it was hard to walk without being in pain and anytime I took a deep breath or yawned it hurt really bad. I called the on call doctor for my office and they told me to go to the ER. I spent 5 hours in the ER and got lots of blood work and a CT scan and they couldn't figure out what was wrong so they released me. Today my pain is still there and it's even worse to be honest. I don't know what is going on and I was wondering if anyone else had a similar problem. It's really sore if I push on it. Does anyone know what could be going on? I don't know if I should go back to the ER since they can't find anything.
I would recommend calling your surgeon first thing tomorrow morning when you can, hopefully, get in touch with him.

I was having lower left side pain a few weeks ago. I noticed it was happening after I took gummy vitamins. I switched to the Opurity chewables and the pain went away. I'm not sure if it was related but it seemed like my belly was having a hard time digesting the gummies. At times I was bent over it was so painful...just wondering if it's something similar??

Im in no shape a doctor or qualified to give medical advice...could it be your gaul bladder? Its typical for it to react when you are dropping serious amounts of weight very fast. I had my first attack right after my second child, and then had it removed.
Im sorry you are in such pain. Definitely call your surgeon!
I hope you feel better soon, Carolyn.
