Upset stomach

Every so often my stomach gets upset, resulting in vomiting and diarrhea. This didn't happen pre-surgery to the extent it's happening now. Anyone else go through this?

Hmm, today I am having diarrhea which is the first time since surgery(7 weeks post op). Aside from wondering where the volume is coming from, and worrying about dehydration, I am finding it takes longer to resolve itself  than it did pre op.

Hi Allison.  I'm two weeks post op.  Ive had one instance of vomiting for no apparent reason that I know of, but it did not produce anything.   Ive had several instances of diarrhea every couple days, but do not necessarily feel bad.  It happens and it's over.  I've had severe IBS in the past and this is nothing like that so I haven't worried.

I have not.  I'd ask my surgeon since that doesn't sound like a fun way to live!

Sounds like something you are eating...is it preceded by something high sugar or high fat?

Strangely, there doesn't seem to be a connection with what I'm eating. Yesterday all I'd had was a poached egg when it happened. I went to my surgeon today for a routine visit and he didn't seem terribly concerned about it, so that made me feel better.
