There is absolutely no reason to bring protein powder to the hospital.

It's more comfortable withour your bra and panties. Take my word for it, and most people will agree I'm sure, you really won't want to wear them and you won't actually care. The one thing about being in the hospital after surgery. All modesty flies out the window when you are just trying to feel better. Pain may also be a factor. Underwear may be irritating. As for protein powder, you really won't need it. You will start off on clears for the time in the hospital.
I wore my panties from the afternoon of the surgery day. They made me feel less naked. I also wore my own pajamas while walking around the halls and later while walking outside around the hospital. The panties were a little bit uncomfortable on my belly button incision, but it wasn't bad enough to deter me from wearing them, which I'm glad I did since they were needed. I had my "monthly" come early so needed them. I also found the panties helped keep the bandage in my belly button. There wasn't any need to have any protein powder along. I wasn't put on protein shakes until 10 days after surgery.
Hey Kim beat of luck to you and a very speedy recovery!
Also what I did was a sports bra!!! It was easy and very comfortable! ! And if your dr or surgeon want u to have protien shakes I'm sure they will give it to you there at the hospital ... but I I'd ask them... I was clear liquids for the first week home !!! Welcome to the loosers bench hun !!! :-)
