Ooh, my very own shout out!
The recital went really, really well. I did a much better job than I had at the recital in May - I was in the middle of a kidney stone and hadn't realized it for that recital! For this recital, I was nervous, but not overly so and I think that helped. I wore my pretty Modcloth dress, neutral tights, new shiny black girly shoes, and a red cardigan since it was cold and I look like a tiger attacked my right shoulder due to physical therapy. I felt pretty :)
And I sang well! I actually feel really good about my performance which is VERY unusual for me. I sang Tu Lo Sai (an Italian art song), Lo How a Rose Ere Blooming, Silent Night (in English and German), and Make Your Own Kind Of Music (which was the finale for the recital). So yay! And my parents were able to make it from 3 hours north. This is my third recital, but the first they were able to make it to!

I'm so happy for you on the fantastic performance and I imagine it was made even more special that your parents were able to attend as well.
I'm impressed at the Silent Night in German. That is a hard language to sing (in my experience). My mouth and voice struggle over some of those sounds. It definitely does not come naturally.

Thank you! I think I actually did better with the German than the English, probably since I was paying more attention to keeping my vowels nice and open :P
