Spiral Ham or Prime Rib Roast? (Or neither?)

Hello, I will be starting my 7th week post surgery on Xmas day. I am not scheduled to go to my 5-week and beyond post-op class until next weekend. (This class will tell me what I can eat from now on.) I am having a small dinner for family at my house on Xmas day. All adults. I want to have something special, but do not know yet what I will be able to eat. I was thinking about a Spiral Ham or Prime Rib Roast. (Or maybe at my stage I will not be able to have a little of either, and if that is the case, no problem). I just want to be able to plan ahead. (Do not want to serve seafood as it is not tolerated by one of the guest.) Any suggestions? Do you have any idea what I can eat on my at 7th week? Thanks all!
Beef can be problematic for some new post ops. Spiral ham tends to dry out in my experience, so I would get a regular ham and trim the fat off once it's on your plate, if your diet is advanced enough to eat those things. As always, chew really well and measure your portions.
I fight badgers with spoons.

Thank you! I've read that if you add a sauce or gravy to meat it helps to be tolerated better. Is that true?

Good advice as I don't want to get sick and ruin the visit. Thank you!

Me again! Also, can anyone recommend any vegetable and starch to serve with it that I can tolerate? Thanks again!
At 7 weeks you won't have room for a vegetable or a starch.

Then I will just stick to the protein and be thankful for it! (Thanks for the info.!)
