21 pounds in a few weeks is excellent.  You are doing great.

It is common to stall in the 3rd week.  Try not to let it bother you.  As long as you stick to the plan and eat less than you burn, you'll lose fat, even if the scale doesn't show it.  And in the long run, does it really matter if you get to goal in 7 months or 12 months, or 18 months?   As long as you stick to your plan you'll succeed.  Don't let the stalls impact your resolve.

best of luck,

Carol

I had surgery on Dec. 3rd, as well, and have lost 20lbs since the start of my program. Sounds like we're on the same track! I, too, have been following everything exactly, but I think my body is just getting used to this new stomach and is in shock! Whenever I do something so huge, my body reacts by going into this freeze mode where nothing can be budged no matter what. Which is one of the reasons I did this surgery. However, the good news is my diabetes is gone, and my arthritis pain is greatly reduced! I'll take it! I truly believe the weight will continue to come off, I don't think it can do anything but, since my caloric consumption is so minute. If you want, keep in touch to see how we do! Good luck and a Merry Christmas to you!
