Good weekend and I am no longer in the 40s.
We are really enjoying the bike investment we made as a family. Yesterday, my oldest grandson(10) and I went on a 10 mile bike ride. Today, he, my 8 year old grandson and my wife went on another 10 mile ride. This would have been impossible just a few months ago. Hell, a year ago, my bike would not have held my weight safely. I am really loving going on these bike rides with the grand kids. It really feels good to get them out and away from those cursed video games.
And today, I bought a pair of 36" jeans at costco. The pair I bought 2 months ago was a 40" pair and they have been falling off. I have not worn 36" jeans since 1988! They are a little tight, but so were the 40's when I first bought them. I think my ultimate goal is 29s which I wore when I was 17 back in 1980.
Yesterday, it was a little cool here in San Antonio and I could not find my pullover insulated windbreaker. My wife, said, "you could wear mine." And I thought, yes, I probably can. And i did and it was not that tight. My wife is not that big, she is about a 14-16 with a fairly large chest(42F). She is hoping to have either the VSG or bypass in April. She is borderline qualifying as her BMI is right at 35 with bad cholesterol and diabetes.
