I have my pre-op appointment today. So nervous, If I am correct, it's a physical and tests to make sure I can go under anesthesia. Wish me luck that all goes well today so I can have my VSG next week! (12/31/2014, Weds.) u

i am so nervous, but excited about the surgery. I am grateful to have a good hospital and surgeon. UMASS is one of the top WLS centers in the country.  Scared, yet looking forward to the VSG. I know it will change my life. I know I will not regret it.

Save me a seat on the losers bench, I will be joining you next week, hopefully.

I am only 3 weeks post-op for VSG.  It has already changed my life and my way of thinking.  Especially now during the Holidays.  I went to a Christmas party yesterday and the fact that I could not eat almost anything there did not bother me at all.  I ate a little mashed potatoes and mashed sweet potatoes and I was full.  Just remember Life>Food.  Feel free to friend me.  We could progress together.

Lori  PS Lost almost 30lbs since my consultation mid November.

The pre-op for me was some bloodwork, and EKG, a chest x-ray, and a meeting with a nurse. It was pretty quick and easy. I am 10 days out and am starting to feel a lot better. I have been dropping about a pound a day so far. Good luck on your surgery! You will not regret your decision.
