weight loss first 2 weeks

Ok week 2 I have lost 7 pounds. That seem right?  I fluctuate by a pound plus or minus and have for about 5 days.  I am not cheating and I am eating right in size and substance.   I am assuming it is because of post op restrictions on exercise.  No weight loss over last 5 days.  Am I worried too much?   I promise I am doing as I should.

Is this the stall I have read about?  Non of my info warned me about a stall.

This is one of the benefits of OH - I've learned so much that my surgeon's information never included.

Can't go wrong as long as you are following your doctor's plan. Everyone loses at a different rate. It is really strange how different the weight loss is! Depends on age, how much you have to lose, how much you lost pre-op, and just your own metabolism. You will be fine!! Good Luck!! Try to stay busy and not dwell on it. I know that is not easy!! I'm an obsesser, too!! I just keep reading stories on this board and keep on dreaming!!!

Sounds good to me!  Weight loss is different for everyone so you can't base yours on anyone else.  If you stick to your plan, you'll lose the weight.

its normal you probably still have fluids in you from surgery

your weight lose will not be effected in the short run by exercise,  you would have to burn 500 cal a day to lose an extra pound a week and thats a lot

exercise helps raise your metabolizem and prevent muscle lose and bone lose so unless you run weekly marathons  don't expecrt it to change things much

everyone goes thru a stall sometime i the first month you body needs to make adjustments and they can last a few weeks sometimes

do not weigh yourself daily it will drive you crazy once a week is enough I do once a month

just weigh and track you food and follow your plan and you will lose weight

ps im a slow loser but have lost 175 lb since the start of my journey

I lost 8.9 lbs by week 2. I am mid-week 3 and still feel and look swollen, as I gained 5 lbs of fluid in the hospital and also had blood thinner shots that have my abdomen all bruised and swollen. Could you still be retaining some fluids? Also, sometimes the scale will not read a loss, but our bodies are definitely shrinking.

That is about what I was losing but I have hit a couple of stalls. Usually after moving to the next step in my diet plan. I would not worry the stalls are normal.

We all have our own rates of losing. I was sleeved 12/16/2014, I am down 18# as of this morning; however with that said I was on a normal 1800 calorie diet pre-op. I see some are on very restricted calories pre-op and that probably effects post op wt loss. Follow your plan and the only place for your weight to go is DOWN 😊
