I'm an awaiting my insurance approval and I'm afraid I won't get approved because I have no comorbidities. Since I started my prediabetes has normalized. I do have a BMI of 53 which might be helpful in my case but I fell like that might not be good enough for the insurance company.

Generally if you have a BMI over 40, with or without co-morbidities, you would qualify for WLS…if your plan covers it. Have hope!

I qualified with no comorbidities because my BMI was over 40.  But all insurance companies are different :(  Good luck!

Me too. No comorbidities, but got approved with BMI over 40.
