Dreaded 3 week plateau finally over.

So I had surgery 3 1/2 weeks ago. I remember reading that many people have a plateau at 3 weeks out. Well, mine happened at 2 weeks out. The scale did not move at all- not even an ounce- for 6 days. I was not shocked it happened but was surprised it happened so early. Thankfully, for the last 3 days, the scale started moving again! Yay! I have been on point with my food. I have not eaten anything I was not supposed to eat. It seems the plateau coincided with when I started eating mushy food. Anyway, despite almost a week of no movement, I am 16 ponds down from surgery and 31.1 lbs down from the start of the 2 week pre-op liquid diet that started on Thanksgiving day. I know I am not losing as quickly as some other people, but I am pretty pleased with my progress so far.  I am just SO GLAD the scale is finally moving again! Lets hope it stays that way!

I assure you that it won't stay that way.  Stalls and plateaus will happen throughout the weight loss process - what a drag, eh?  But you survived your first one and all subsequent ones will be easier as a result :D  Way to go!

(Although, let me tell you, my stall right before hitting onederland was MOST annoying!!)

Hi, my surgery date was 12/1/2014 so it is close to yours Gwen.  I to hit a plateau and I am wondering how or what to do to get things moving again.  Maybe I'm not getting enough protein...could really use some advice.

My surgery was actually in March 2014.

How many grams of protein are you getting each day?  How many ounces of liquids?
