Back to bariatric basics
Things have been going great (fingers crossed, knock wood) and I want to keep the good habits engrained, so I'm returning to some bariatric basics. Had a 35-gram protein shake this morning and am trying my best to get fluids in. I'm just posting this to kind of keep myself honest when I falter ... and I know I will. :)
We all falter. We're human.
I gained seven pounds over the holidays and have been struggling to lose them. Last week I got hard core and made sure I got all my fluids in, exercised, tracked everything I ate and ate what I should. I lost five pounds. Getting back on track is very hard. You just have to white knuckle it for awhile then all the good habits you've learned kick back in, at least for me.
You can do it! Hang in there

You can do it :)
Here are the basics I remind myself of every day.
1. Prioritize protein and water
2. Deprioritize carbs, especially the refined and processed ones
3. Make the most of healthy fats
4. Eat three meals a day with no snacks
5. Avoid liquid calories (breakfast protein shake is the exception)
6. Weigh portions
7. Eat mindfully and with no distractions aside from real live people
8. Move as much as possible
9. Weigh myself daily
10. Be kind to myself
