I was out of work for 9 days. My surgeon usually recommends longer but I was feeling so well that they said I could go back early.

I'm pre op, but I am taking 3 weeks off. My husband was sleeved in 2012 and he took 3.5 weeks. He became severely dehydrated about 1 week out. If that hadn't happened he prolly could have returned at 2weeks, so I'm taki ng 3 to be safe. I have a physical job, too. I think that makes a difference too!

I was out 4 days.  Off ice job so it wasn't that difficult.  I probably went back a couple days early.

I took 2 weeks from release of hospital.  Still a little sore bending over, but otherwise on target with fluids and protein

I teach high school. My sleeve was on 12/29/14 and I was due to return to work 1/5/15. I did not return until 1/7/15 BUT should have waited until 1/12/15. You need two weeks. Also, walk some every day!

I initially intended to take off 2 weeks but when I called my surgeon's office to get clearance to go back to work they told me that he doesn't usually clear people until after the 1 month post op appointment.  So I ended up taking 4 weeks off.  It sounds like a lot compared to everyone else but I'm glad I took the time off.
