Ate out at a restaurant during my full liquid pre-op week!

My husband and I went to Red Robin this evening for dinner. He had a hamburger w/fries. I ordered 3 bowls of French onion soup sans bread, croutons, and cheese. Then I spooned the broth out of the bowl, leaving the onions. It was delicious! Since I'm only three days away from my surgery, nothing else in the restaurant tempted me in the least. But, oh!, that broth was good.

Most restaurants will even meet your needs farther!  You can actually ask for just the broth and they are happy to comply.

Good idea, lianna. I might go back again tomorrow, and if so, I'll ask for just the broth.

I did the same during my liquid phase.  We were at Applebee's and I ordered their French Onion soup without the topping or cheese.  When I explained I could only have liquids, the server even had the cook strain out the onions.  It was great.  We eat out quite often and I have had no issues finding something to order during each phase of my program.  I love my sleeve.  My surgery was 4 weeks ago.  Good luck Monday.

French onion soup sans goodies was my first real post op food and OMG I still can remember how delicious it was.
