I had my surgery on February 12, 2015 and have lost 22 pounds so far. After two weeks the weight stopped coming off despite not being able to eat. Is this just a plateau? I have severe heartburn and was wondering if this is normal and when does it generally go away or at least get better? Thanks for any input.

Search for "three week stall," pretty much everybody sees a slowdown after a few weeks.

Many VSG'ers end up on a PPI to help with acid. If you haven't been prescribed one, call your surgeon and see if it might be an option. You may get a prescription, or possibly take one over-the-counter like Prilosec.

I still have the reflux problem.  I use a PPI (prilosec and some others are available OTC now,) and that helps a lot.  Be patient.  At 3 months the pounds started to fly off with very little effort on my part!!!
